one of the most successful german advertising campaign was created by two students of FH-D, (university of applied sciences düsseldorf) in 1992, guido meyer and publicnomad, under supervision of creative director wilfried korfmacher. the campaign is now running for more than 10 years and has developed it's own dynamics. the german central office for health education created a steady and interactive process with the target group of young sexually active people, to continue the campaign with new motives, following the minimalist approach of the campaign: promoting condoms as present anytime, anywhere.
the campaign is a piece of pop-art, social advertising, education, a visual game, a steady reminder, a traffic-sign (zeichenverkehr).
join-in is also an encouragement for non-profit organisations all over the world to adopt the campaign which has proven to be so successful in promoting safe sex. we would be happy to assist any effort to convert this campaign into a global language to prevent aids infections.
