mouth wide open eyes shut

A colleague of us died a year ago. A young and friendly fellow. Nobody knew, that he had a secret, an illness most of us would not consider serious, but it finally led to his dead. What did he hide from friends and colleagues? Something, most of us would not even consider an illness, nor being lethal: he was scared to death to go to the dentist. Scared to go to the dentist? We all have childhood memories, the horror of pain and being totally exposed to the Dentists will and power. But for some this fear has turned clinical. They suffer under dental phobia and avoided the dentist for 5, 8, 12 or many more years. Many times the infections have become chronic. The whole body suffers, the infections might take over other organs, the toxics poison the organism and might lead in the worst case to a heart attack.

We join four patients, Alexa, Dagmar, Peter and Christoph who undergo a therapy and finally manage to overcome their fear, finally being able to receive normal dental treatment.

What a relieve, when theyre back in routine. Its a new start into a life without fear.
